Result of a plan
A computed plan contains:
| Part | What it is |
|---|---|
| Planned tasks | For each task: the chosen resource or resources, start and end |
| Plan per resource | The sequence of tasks on each resource, which is what is drawn on the Gantt chart |
| Indicators | The value of each objective: total lateness, makespan, availability levelling… |
| Feasibility | Whether the plan meets all hard rules |
| Broken rules | If it is not feasible, which rules fail and by how much |
| Chosen branch | In processes with alternative routes, which one was chosen |
Starts and ends are expressed in the project’s planning unit, counted from the proposal’s start date, and are shown as real dates and times.
Explaining the plan
Section titled “Explaining the plan”PlanifAI does not hide a problem behind a plan that looks good:
- Not feasible: the result says which rule fails, where and by how much. For example, “the plan falls 2 below the minimum of available assets in week 14”.
- Soft rules: each penalty is shown separately (lateness per order, earliness, duration).
- Comparison: against the current plan, which tasks have moved and which orders change date.
