Replanning
A plan lasts until the first incident. PlanifAI does not throw the plan away: it repairs it, changing as little as possible.
What is fixed
Section titled “What is fixed”When replanning from the current plan, the following stay fixed:
- tasks that have already started;
- tasks fixed by hand;
- known stoppages.
The rest can be moved. See Proposals and current plan.
Common incidents
Section titled “Common incidents”| Incident | How it is represented |
|---|---|
| Breakdown or stoppage | A fixed block on the resource for the duration of the stoppage |
| Urgent order | A new order with its date and its weight |
| Cancelled order | It is withdrawn from the plan |
| Delayed material | A new earliest start on the affected tasks |
| Grounded asset | A fixed block on the asset from that day |
| Absence | See Shifts and absence cover |
How the change is measured
Section titled “How the change is measured”- Tasks moved: how many are no longer where they were.
- Orders affected: which ones change date and what it costs.
- Stability: the plan stability objective penalises nearby changes more.
Alternatives
Section titled “Alternatives”The same incident usually has several ways out: spread the work across other resources, wait for the repair or combine the two. PlanifAI computes several proposals and each one says what changes, which rule it strains and what it costs. A person decides.
